The tail is wagging the dog, and this is what’s really pissing off Hong Kong Belongers for the very simple reason that Hong Kong no longer belongs to Hong Kong Belongers.

THE PROBLEM OCCUPYING HONG KONG 1

Forget the naive political rhetoric behind Occupy Central, forget all the FILTHs allowed in- Failed In London Try Hongkong- who got rich off the back of the city by those taken in by a white face despite lacking in talent- an insecurity that goes back to running dog and colonial days of The Taipan.

THE PROBLEM OCCUPYING HONG KONG 2

What’s playing havoc with the psyche and patience of Hong Kong people in 2014 is seeing armies of Mainland Chinese marching into this city and taking what’s not theirs with an arrogance and a sense of self-entitlement.

A few months ago, Hong Kong was up-in-arms over a Mainland Chinese tourist who casually allowed her child to urinate on a train in the MTR.

Last week, what caused far greater furore was the rich Mainlander visiting Hong Kong, who thought nothing of shoving his pet dog into a washing machine.

Where there’s the problem, however- by now, Hong Kong Belongers should realise that they can protest all they want, but these amount to nothing as no one beats City Hall- and no one takes on Beijing and wins.

Just ask Benny Tai, the willy nilly organiser of Occupy Central, who, overnight, lost his balls along with his voice, back-tracked, bowed out of sitting in on his own sit-in, spanked himself and can now barely organise an Occupy Loo Bowel Movement.

Occupy Central genius Benny Tai won’t be sitting in at his own sit-in

With the cash-rich Mainland Chinese coming across the border like Attila The Hunt dressed in designer name clothes and with a voracious appetite for Chanel, Cartier, Prada because the devil wears the brand and everything else money can buy, what can Hong Kong do other than be disgusted by this obscene show of wealth?

THE PROBLEM OCCUPYING HONG KONG 4

What can Hong Kong do when these Mainlanders scratch their arses and smell their fingers? Or pick their noses and examine the results? Or order bottles of Margaux and Chateau Lafitte and guzzle these down with Coca-Cola and ice cubes?

They have the money, money means power, and this means buying anything they want- even people and, gawd knows, despite all the howls of protest, there are plenty of Hong Kong Belongers happy to be bought and become grovelling sycophants.

THE PROBLEM OCCUPYING HONG KONG 5

It’s not unlike many women from anywhere in the world, who, despite their fake protestations and turning up their noses at females from Eastern Europe saying only they “are for sale”, have overnight changes of heart, and are more than happy to open their legs and become “respectable wives” if the right deal comes along.

It’s simple survival, the tick tocking of biological clocks and age plus the result of “doing the math.”

THE PROBLEM OCCUPYING HONG KONG 6

This is where hypocrisy and sanctimonious bullshit comes into play when thinking about the whingeing of Hong Kong Belongers.

If big money is waived under their noses from anyone- even many of those gauche, tasteless and fabulously nouveau riche Mainland Chinese- they’ll do somersaults and whistle Dixie out of their arses to pocket it.

As the saying goes, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. And as Benny Tai has proven, once this is broken, dams are burst, many take advantage and waltz in while the flood waters drown the peasants in the process.

The problem that’s always made Hong Kong weak is the inabili ‘s always someone else’s fault.

Have all these yelling for “universal suffrage” wondered why, suddenly, so many gruesome crimes are being committed in the city?

Why it’s taken all these decades to recognise the historical reasons for the neglect of the elderly, why there are no laws in place to contain the spiralling rents, the pressures placed on students, which has led to suicides, the abuse of foreign domestic helpers by rich local socialites, and the pandemic of Hong Kong businessmen- some being the most senior members of the previous government like Rafael Hui, the former Chief Secretary, who has been hauled into court to face corruption charges?

Former Chief Executive- Donald Tsang- had no idea what his right hand man was doing during his watch? Really? Do you also believe in fairies?

The Donald and The Raphael in happier, snappier times

Much of today’s problems have to do with those days when Hong Kong was a colony and when everything might have appeared jolly good on the surface when, in truth, it had to do with running dogs and Englishman out in the mid-day sun, but with nothing put in place so we don’t have to be so lost and hopeless today.

THE PROBLEM OCCUPYING HONG KONG 8

And now British lawmakers suddenly wish to visit Hong Kong to examine the implementation of the Joint Declaration?

Please don’t.

Leave Hong Kong alone, and let us Hong Kong Belongers finally beco tiny, and, for once, achieve this without any more knee-jerk reactions, naive protestations and, instead, getting our priorities straight by first looking at ourselves in the mirror.
