Everyone was reminded just what a good jockey Olivier Doleuze is when he and the Manfred Man-trained Eagle Regiment took out the Kent&Curwen Centenary Sprint Cup.

It was a great training performance by Man and which brought up his 300th career winner.

For the flamboyant and charismatic Doleuze, it was the third leg of a treble and which had him easily win the Jockey Challenge.

Throughout the day, there was some great competitive racing- Tye Angland’s win on Divine Diva, Dougie Whyte’s brilliant ride on Winning Instinct and a great finish between The Zac Attack and Angland in Race 9 and with the former winning an extremely deceiving photo finish.

The disappointments? Well, none for us as won on the day, but we did think that Gerard Mosse could have given Fat Choy Ooh La La more oomph, we had no idea what Lucky Nine was doing leading in the 1000m sprint and were disappointed in the very flat effort of Rewarding Hero.

For fans of martial arts actor, his Amber Sky flopped again and for singer-actor Aaron Kwok, his horse Calling With Love which he plans to bring up onstage at his upcoming eight concert dates- a bizarre idea- well, it ran a lethargic third as the 3 to 1 favorite.

That’s all folks and that’s showbiz.
